Assalam o alaikum
With a sense of duty and humility, I, Dr. Shamim Salman, assume the presidency of the NY chapter of APPNA. Together, let us uphold unity, progress, and compassion as we navigate this journey. I extend my gratitude to past president Dr Arshad Anwar and his team.
We stand at a pivotal juncture with many opportunities for engagement. As President, I outline our objectives for 2024:
1. Expand membership through strategic outreach.
2. Develop platforms supporting research and clinical experiences for young Pakistani physicians.
3. Provide mentorship to recent graduates pursuing residency programs.
4. Initiate volunteer efforts to improve healthcare access for marginalized communities.
5. Supporting Charity and non profit organizations in Pakistan and USA
6. Organize educational and social events for our members.
I invite all Pakistani physicians to join us in realizing these goals. Together, let us embody our motto: “APPNA for Everyone – Unity is Our Strength.”
